Update December 21

Hello dear friends!

In the last few days I have thought a lot about Joseph, Mary's husband. He certainly imagined the birth of Jesus differently at the time: His fiancée is pregnant with God's son, and then the baby has to be born in a stable because God apparently did not want to provide better accommodation. And no sooner is Jesus born than they have to flee to Egypt because the child is to be killed. So everything is very complicated. And yet God has everything in hand, even if it doesn't look like it at all.

For us it was somehow similar this year: We would have imagined some things differently. And yet we can trust that God is in control of everything. That makes us look back gratefully on this year. Grateful for Joy's pregnancy, which is still a miracle, regardless of the outcome, grateful for the many things in which we were allowed to experience God's guidance and grateful for everyone who took part in our lives, support us both personally and in our work.

Gratitude and joy about the financed borehole.

We are also very grateful for the development of the Center of Hope: We were able to win an experienced company that will put everything into practice bit by bit, and another milestone has been achieved with the financing of the borehole.

Outlook:

We look forward to flying to Kenya again at the end of January. Through our personal presence there, we hope to be able to speed up some processes - especially the establishment of our organization. We will also get to know and teach the new generation of Foxfires. We are excited to see what will happen in the new year, but hope to be able to lay the foundation for our center of hope.

But now we're looking forward to Christmas and a few quiet days around the turn of the year. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Yours truly

Marco and Joy
