Update January 21

Hello dear friends!

First of all we wish you a happy and blessed new year. After a few nice days with Marco's family, we have been back in Kenya since January 8th.

 Hope Project:

Since we received more donations for this than expected, we could no longer distribute all the packages before Christmas. The procurement of the shoes, for which we are working with a Kenyan company, took a little longer than expected. We have been on the road several times in the last few days to distribute the packages. It is a shame that the whole thing was no longer a Christmas present, at least for these children and families, but the joy was undiminished. You can find a detailed report on our blog: https://www.tumainiministries.com/blog/2021/1/29/bericht-hopeprojecct.

It is less gratifying that we cannot teach the Foxfires this year as usual due to the corona. Above all, this has to do with the fact that all schools in Kenya were closed last year and there are no final classes whose students have always been our main target group. This year there should now be two shortened school years instead of one. We are therefore looking into the possibility of starting the program later and / or running it online. Here we keep you up to date.

 Center of Hope:

The concept developed by BPV Architects is currently being translated into English for the construction company in Nairobi. Then we get a cost estimate so that we can better plan further financing.

 Outlook and thanks:

In the next few weeks we will be working on a campaign for the next steps of the Center of Hope. We also want to conclude the Christmas campaign. But since the people here are still suffering from the consequences of the pandemic, we will certainly think about another, similar action to meet the plight of the people.

At this point, many thanks again to everyone who supports us with finances, prayer or practical support. Without you our work in Kenya would not be possible.

If you too would like to support us or have questions about our work, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best regards

Marco and Joy
