Update October 21
Hello dear friends!
Unfortunately, we have to start this newsletter with sad news: As indicated in the last newsletter, Joy's pregnancy was no longer so easy at some point. Mother, child and doctors did their best during this period and at first everything looked pretty good. On October 4th, however, an infection occurred that also spread to the baby, and unfortunately it did not survive. Therefore, on the evening of October 4th, Joy had a miscarriage to our daughter Hanna. It was a shock and not an easy time for us. Since the infection levels continued to rise despite the antibiotic, Joy had to stay in the hospital afterwards. In the meantime, however, she is back home, the values are back to normal and she is getting better little by little. We are very grateful for the many great people who expressed their condolences to us in so many ways, but also encouraged us. And we are grateful to know that we will see our Hanna again in eternity. However, it will take some time to process all of this.
Of course, these developments have also changed our planning. We are now planning to fly back to Kenya in January. Whether it works that way depends on various factors such as insurance and the immigration authorities.
Center of Hope:
There is good news here: our campaign continues to develop positively. We are now only 5,000 euros short, then we have financed the well that will supply the entire project. We aim to achieve this goal by the end of November. If you would like to support us, you are welcome to do so via our account, but also via PayPal or our campaign at betterplace.org. You can stay up to date on the latest developments in the November promotion via social media. Thank you for your support.
At this point, many thanks again to everyone who supports us practically, through finances or prayer. We are really very grateful for that, because our work in Kenya is only possible thanks to you.
Do you want to support us or do you have any questions? Please come to us. We look forward to hearing from you.
Yours truly
Marco and Joy
