Update April 21

Hello dear friends!

Our campaign has been online for a month now and has developed well. Almost sixty square meters of the foundation for the orphanage have now been financed. Review:

In April we had several meetings with the Kenyan construction company and, among other things, developed a schedule. Construction is scheduled to begin at the beginning of next year with the securing of the property and the drilling of a well. Until then, the whole concept will be converted into a construction plan and a building application will then be submitted. We are really looking forward to our “center of hope”, which for a long time only existed in our thoughts, is now becoming more and more tangible and a reality. Even if we are of course aware that we still have a long way to go.

There is also news from the establishment of our organization here in Kenya. Actually we wanted to found an association. For this we would have had to remove everything from the statutes that is somehow Christian. Since the connection to Christianity is important to us, we looked for alternatives and are now going to found a non-profit GmbH. We will be submitting the relevant documents next week and hope that the whole thing will then go through the stage very quickly.

Outlook:

At the beginning of June we will be back in Germany for two months. We are very much looking forward to it and are already preparing and planning. Among other things, we want to use our stay to present our project to different communities and companies. So if you would like to invite us to your church, feel free to contact us.
