Update June 22

Hello dear friends!

In the last newsletter we informed you about the aid package campaign that we would like to do in July. For 15 euros you could donate an aid package with basic foodstuffs, which will then benefit disadvantaged families with children in Kenya. Your generosity has totally inspired us, because well over 1000 euros have been raised - thank you very much! We will now prepare everything in a timely manner in order to be able to distribute the packages in July.

There is good news in other respects as well: at the beginning of June we were on our property with geologists. They found that there is enough water there to water the entire Center of Hope. That gave us a lot of encouragement and joy.

After that we were on a mission outreach in Mombasa. It was moving in many ways: we had great encounters and talks with many different people. But what moved us most was how the churches of the different denominations worked together to bring hope and the gospel to the people of their city. By the way, there are always more impressions of the mission, but also of future actions such as the distribution of aid packages, on social media.

Outlook:

From mid-July we will be teaching our students for a few weeks. Because the schools here were closed for nine months because of Corona, there are currently shortened school years to catch up on everything. That's why our time with the Foxfires, who will be going to university from September, is also shortened. Nevertheless, we will make the best possible use of the time we have and give them as much as possible, which will help them later in life. We are really looking forward to our time together, because young people and their future are particularly important to us.
