Update January 20
Hello dear friends,
First of all, we wish you all a happy and blessed new year!
In the meantime, 2020 is already a couple days old. We have spent these days, writing to different politicians and ministers as we look for support for our “Centre of Hope”. We wait eagerly for replies to our letters. Besides this, finances have evolved very positively in these last weeks and we are very grateful.
We have also begun writing up statues for our Centre of Hope that will serve for the founding of the organization here in Kenya. In so doing, we will be able to establish a legal frame around our project.
Looking forward:
In the meantime, new Foxfires students have arrived in Nairobi. We will meet them next week and we already look very much forward to this. Classes will start in the beginning of February.
Concerning Marco's work visa, we will make a new attempt in the next days. The state of affairs in this domain is that an official needs to look into what we are doing. No one has come yet and no one can tell us when this could happen. We are continuing to persevere but are also exploring other options.
You can learn more about our work and vision on our website. You will also find a new blog entry where Marco talks about life in Kenya. The theme this time is “new year”. https://www.tumainiministries.com/blog/2020/1/10/mein-leben-in-kenia-teil-13-silvester.
Many thanks!
We would like to give a big thank you to all who support us through prayer, financially or practically. With out you, our work here in Kenya would not be possible. We feel encouraged and grateful for all your support.
Important notice:
In our last letter we told you that the name change of our association was finally official. The name of the association's account has thus been changed to “Tumaini Ministries e.V.”.
If you would like to support us or if you have any questions or comments, we would be happy to hear from you!
Marco and Joy
