Update September 22

Hello dear friends!

In September, our focus was on distributing food packages. Thanks to your donations, we were able to distribute 60 more packages to families in a slum in Nairobi and to an orphanage in western Kenya. These were especially helpful because we distributed them just as the school vacations began. In Kenya, during school hours, all children eat at school. During the vacations, of course, they eat at home. But this means a financial challenge for the families. By distributing food during the vacation season, we were able to help families during a really challenging time, as food prices continue to rise even here. Of course, the gratitude of the people was all the greater. For example, one mother who just fell around our necks while we were distributing said:
"Thank you so much! I didn't know what to cook for my children next week. This morning I was still praying for supplies and a miracle. You are a great blessing to me and a real answer to prayer!"
Thank you to all the donors! Your donation has really made a big difference in the lives of many families here in Kenya.

Outlook:
In the coming weeks, we will continue to work to ensure that the first two construction phases of the Center of Hope can be implemented early next year. On the one hand, this concerns the financing. Specifically, this concerns a water tank to store the water extracted from the well, as well as the fencing of the property. This is unfortunately important for security reasons in Kenya. Secondly, we are working on the final transfer of the land. We want to complete both this year in order to be able to start construction at the beginning of next year.
At the end of November we will fly to Germany. The planning for this is already underway and we are of course very excited.

Thank you:
Many thanks to all of you who make our work here in Kenya possible through your support. You are a real blessing!
If you would also like to support us or have any questions or suggestions about our work, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.

Yours truly

Marco and Joy
