Update April 23
Hello dear friends!
In April, as announced, we distributed another 100 food packages, again in poor neighborhoods in Nairobi. We were particularly pleased that we managed to do this before the Easter holidays. The vacation season is always particularly challenging for poorer families, because during school time the children are fed at school. The money for this is usually included in the school fees. During the vacations, however, the children have to be looked after at home, which is of course a time-consuming task, but above all a financial one. The fact that we were able to distribute the food packages during this time made them especially helpful for the benefiting families. Another food distribution is still pending. Unfortunately, it could not take place in April as planned, but it will take place at the next possible opportunity. At this point, we would like to thank all those who make such actions possible through their support.
On the other hand, there is not much news on the various official matters such as building permits or land deeds. Here we had to hand in some more papers and hope that there will be progress soon. You are welcome to pray with us.
Outlook:
In May we will again teach the students of the Foxfires. Among other things, we want to prepare them as best as possible for the time after the Foxfires year. Preparations for this are already underway and we are very much looking forward to it.
Thank you:
Finally, we would like to thank all of you who support us through finances, prayer, or even in a very practical way. Only through you our work here in Kenya is possible - thank you very much!
If you have any questions or suggestions or would like to support our work, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.
Yours truly
Marco and Joy
